Spain Summer Camp

This is a project ministering to immigrants from northern Africa living in Spain through two Cultural Centers. Once a year, they hold camp at a camp facility located in the cool hills outside of the city. The full-time staff have organized a theme and all the logistics for this four-day, three-night camp experience. Spanish speakers are needed to staff the camp activities.

Ministry Description
Every year, the Arabic Christian church in Barcelona organizes two simultaneous camps—one for adults and another for children and teenagers. Christians of Arabic-speaking (or Muslim) background from across Europe and North Africa attend these annual camps.
We are responsible for the camp for children and teenagers. As most of them are children of migrants in Spain, they speak Spanish and Arabic, but we also welcome children from outside Spain who speak Arabic or French.
Volunteer Opportunities
We need to form three working teams with a translator for each:
- Worship
If you love music and have skills in leading or participating in worship, we want you to join us to inspire and uplift hearts. Songs should be in Spanish, but you don’t need to speak Spanish to play an instrument or sing in this language. - Recreation
If fun and creativity are your strengths, join the game direction group to ensure laughter, smiles, and unforgettable moments. - Crafts
Are you skilled with your hands and love fostering creativity? Join the crafts team to explore and develop the artistic talents of children. - Translators or Interpreters
If you can speak Spanish or Arabic, accompany the teams by translating and assisting with activities.
