Long before there were mission agencies, God chose to carry out His mission through His church. Missions isn’t simply another type of ministry that a church may or may not prioritize. It’s part of who the church is.
The book of Acts doesn’t tell two stories, one about the church and one about missions. It tells one story of the Spirit forming and sending His people as witnesses, near and far.
There is no such thing as a church without missions. Nor can there be missions without the church.
