Keziah (Hannah) Appel
At a young age, I found myself in a missions service at my church with the missionaries talking about the country of Sudan in Africa as well as other missionaries talking about going to China. Ever since hearing about these stories as a little girl, I wanted to become a missionary and travel the world for Jesus.
When I was a freshman in high school, I started having a desire to go to Japan. I thought their culture seemed "so cool and interesting" as a teenager. As I got older and entered college, I began to have more missional passion to reach the Japanese. I realized just how few people knew the hope of Jesus in Japan.
I realized more and more that the people of Japan need to know HOPE and LIFE, and that they do not need to live in fear, questioning, or to be part of their suicide rate statistics.
Just as in the book of Isaiah when God questions, "Who will go?" I felt a strong desire to GO just as Isaiah said, "Here I am, send me."
I alone am not able to offer much, but I know that in sharing the Gospel in Japan, even just a small seed can go a long way with Jesus leading the charge.
