Kurt and Cynthia Zimmerman
After years of teaching in schools in Kentucky, Kurt and Cynthia sensed a calling from the Lord to be missionary teachers. They worked in Bolivia for 24 years and came to Texas to teach at Taylor Christian School. The school is now closed, and the focus is a community center ministry that reaches a broader segment of the population in the Rio Grande Valley.
Kurt is now working as Director of Taylor Community Center (TCC), and Cynthia is acting Team Leader. Ministries in TCC include the Sparrow's Nest clothing ministry, a pastoral prayer time for local pastors, sports camps and soccer academy, youth night events, ladies’ workshops, Bible studies, senior adult bingo gatherings, an immigration office, and two homeschool groups that use our facilities, along with gym rentals.
