I gave my heart to Jesus when I was 5 years old. When I was 14, I surrendered my life to God and told Him I would do anything and go anywhere He wanted me to. At that time, I did not know that He was calling me to missions. It wasn’t until I was a freshman in college that God spoke to me about being a missionary. I accepted His call, and when I was a junior in college I did my internship in Bolivia to get my first taste of missions.
In 2002, I was appointed as a missionary with World Gospel Mission. In February 2005, I went to Stockton, California, to work with inner-city children and youth at The Center. God then began to show me that He had a new ministry for me, and He gave me a peace about going to McAllen, Texas, to serve with Texas/Mexico Border Ministries at Taylor Community Center.
