We were both born and raised in Burundi—a nation we deeply love, but one where we have witnessed firsthand the struggles of a healthcare system with too few resources and too few trained doctors. These gaps in care are not unique to Burundi, but echo across much of Sub-Saharan Africa. For us, this is not just a statistic—it’s personal. We have seen the faces, heard the stories, and felt the weight of lives lost too soon simply because the right care was out of reach.
During our medical residencies, we had the privilege of working alongside missionaries who modeled compassionate service, faithful discipleship, and the power of combining medical skill with the love of Christ. Their example deeply shaped our vision and reaffirmed our calling to serve God through healthcare ministry.
God has placed in our hearts a passion for discipleship through healthcare—using medicine and medical education as tools to share the love of Jesus Christ. Our mission is twofold: to bring healing to the sick through compassionate, high-quality care, and to equip and mentor the next generation of Burundian doctors, multiplying the impact far beyond what we could ever do alone.
In every patient treated and every doctor trained, we seek to meet both physical and spiritual needs—offering not only medical treatment but also the hope and peace found in Christ. We believe that true healing comes when the body and soul are both cared for, and that the Gospel is at the heart of lasting transformation.
By returning to Burundi as healthcare missionaries, we are answering God’s call to bridge the gap we once saw as children and now face as trained medical professionals. This is more than our work—it is our life’s mission.
