Jonathan Yaw

I was raised in a Christian family that was active in the church. But, after graduating from high school and joining the Navy, I started wandering away from God. It wasn't until I reached a dark place in my life that God's Spirit came upon me and reminded me that I need to come back to Him. Since that time, my faith has continued to grow and has taken me out into the mission field for short-term trips.

As I was thinking about whether or not to do a mid-term mission, I questioned whether or not I was ready. But as I was questioning, I clearly heard God say, "Go. I will make you ready!" I am currently studying psychology (Christian counseling), and I believe that God is leading me to help those in Irapuato, Mexico, who are battling addiction and other forms of mental road blocks. There are many other opportunities to serve the community as well.
