Prayer Lifeline: August 2026

Each request in this email represents an opportunity to intercede for people, ministries, and communities around the world. We invite you to pause, pray, and ask God to move in powerful ways.

Lucy's Libros

Young students will have more access to books because of your prayers! Lucy’s Libros is a ministry that provides fun and interactive reading experience to children across Honduras. This enables students of any age to receive new books, broadening their imagination, encouraging reading skills, and refreshing learning materials for their educators.

Angie, their dedicated librarian, brought several books to a new classroom last month. The teacher of that class rejoiced with the new shipment of books. She knew that a small group of books would ultimately expand these children’s worldviews. You can follow along with the Solheims' journey through subscribing to their newsletter!

Pray for provision as Steve and Kelly Solheim work to add more books, lesson plans, and supplies to Lucy's Libros. Ask the Lord to raise up supporters who want to be part of sharing His love through this ministry and pray also for local volunteers who feel called to serve alongside them, so the library can continue to expand.

The Neighborhood House

Krista Landaas and Chris Amberman have been teaching and discipling several children through Neighborhood Club in Kirtland, New Mexico. They long for each child to surrender their life, trust Jesus, and make a commitment to become a follower and disciple of Jesus.

Pray for their wisdom and discernment as they continue to build access to and connections with the people coming into the Neighborhood House. Ask that Jesus would allow it to become known as a place of love, acceptance, and peace. Pray that He would move in amazing ways in the hearts of the people He has placed in front of them, and that the people they serve would fall in love with Jesus and follow Him faithfully.

Please also pray for the Lord's direction and leadership for Kirtland Hope and lift up members of the Kirtland Hope family who experienced a traumatic loss due to domestic violence.

Prayer Point for August

• Colombia was hit by a 7.4-magnitude earthquake on the Pacific coast in early August. While WGM missionaries serving in Colombia are safe, they know many who have experienced great loss. Please pray that emergency agencies will move quickly and that those affected will be covered in peace and protection. Would you prayerfully consider an urgent gift to missionary families and WGM’s relief response in Colombia today?
