A New Believer

Your prayers are reconciling lives with Christ! Late last year, Miguel* started attending Iglesia Evangélica Cristiana in McAllen, Texas. At first, he attended rather irregularly and only with his girlfriend and her family. After a while, he began connecting more with the church community and started attending church services even without his girlfriend.

After the church’s Thanksgiving meal, Miguel dedicated his life to Christ and renewed his faith in Jesus for salvation! Miguel will never be the same after his reunification with Christ. Lift him before the Lord and ask that the changes in Miguel’s life will take root deep in his heart and overflow onto others so they will also come to know the Lord. Continue praying for the missionaries serving on the Texas/Mexico border to be encouraged by Miguel’s story and reenergized to serve the Lord.

The Next Generation of Missionaries

Thank you for praying for our mobilization team as they attended the Urbana conference last month! The team connected with many young people interested in missions and are looking to journey with those seeking to take the next step in God’s calling on their life.

This spring, WGM student centers will send out even more students on short-term teams who are passionate about spreading the Gospel. As these students encounter Christ, we invite you to pray that some of them will take the courageous step of becoming a missionary. 

Global Prayer Points for January

• Pray for missionary families recovering from health issues, sickness, or loneliness as they closed out the last year. Ask the Lord to strengthen their minds and bodies in this upcoming year and reignite their hearts for serving the unreached.
• A team of Taylor University students will be leaving for a short-term trip to Kenya this week! Pray for the team to be unified and obedient to the Lord as they engage with the missionaries and evangelize to the community. Ask Him to go before the team and prepare the hearts of the community to receive the Gospel and love of Christ. 
• Thank you for praying for Jamaica! WGM supporters have been rallying behind Deirdre Graham with relief efforts after Hurricane Melissa last year. One community she assisted said she brought them the first fresh water they’ve had since the hurricane five weeks prior. Praise God for the work He’s doing and for prayer warriors like you interceding on their behalf!
