Prayer Lifeline: October 2024

Missionary Focus
Kevin Stark, Kenya

You’ve probably noticed that healthcare costs are rising where you live, and the same is true worldwide. Imagine not being able to pay your medical bills.

Your faithful prayers are providing ways for medical bills in Kenya to be paid in creative and sacrificial ways!

Kevin Stark, WGM missionary in Kenya, participated in the AGC Tenwek Hospital Heart Run. Elite runners from around Kenya participated in the half-marathon, and families enjoyed a fun run. Kevin’s supporters alone gave over $13,000 for the 13.1 miles he ran. And many Kenyan businesses supported the efforts. This resulted in many patients seeing medical bills wiped clean!

We praise God for Kevin, his supporters, the Kenyan businesses, and everyone involved in providing financial freedom for families.

Will you continue to pray for Kevin and WGM missionaries in Kenya? Ask God to sustain and guide them as they live out the Gospel in Kenya while providing crucial medical care.

Two New Missionaries!

You’ve prayed the Luke 10:2 Challenge many times, asking God to send more missionaries to places around the world that need His Good News. And we’re so thankful. We’re excited to tell you that because of your prayers, two new missionaries are being sent out to tell His Good News.

Now, will you pray for these two missionaries? Pray for God to sustain them in this new journey and for them to listen well to God’s leading into the unknown!

Prayer Points for the Month
  • USA: Southwest Ministries: A man shared with WGM missionary Laura Arnott that his village needs “cleansed” or “blessed” by the priest because of all the drinking, drug use, and death that is rampant in his village. What’s needed more than this is for the community to surrender to the Lord and live according to His ways. Then, true transformation will happen. We really need your prayers for this community—that they would submit to God’s way so they can see generational change! Can we count on you to join us in this prayer?
  • Honduras: The covered gymnasium at El Sembrador is nearing completion. It will serve as an assembly space large enough for the entire student body (high school and elementary). Will you pray that the remaining funds will come in and that the remaining work can be completed so that these students can all gather as one body?
  • Stockton: Justin and Ashley Guest, WGM missionaries, were able to take some students to a Brandon Lake and Phil Wickham praise night. One young person even prayed, asked for forgiveness, and committed herself to following Christ that night. It was such a blessing for the students in her group. What a testament to answered prayers and God’s faithfulness! Join us in praying for this new believer's journey, that she would continue to follow God as He leads her!
