Prayer Lifeline: September 2025

Missionary Focus | Robert and Holly Groom, Kenya

Your prayers are touching the hands of surgeons in Kenya! Robert and Holly Groom were still serving at Tenwek Hospital when Milo was born with serious medical concerns in a small Kenyan town. Without surgical correction, newborns like him would often pass away within days. Milo was a month old and weighed only four pounds, so Robert and the rest of surgical team at prepared for an operation that had probably never been done in Kenya on such a small baby.

The team prayerfully planned for and proceeded with the surgery. The ministry partners, the medical team, and Milo’s family lifted him up in prayer and God performed a miracle. Praise God that Robert was still in Kenya to help Milo and pray for more miracles like his at Tenwek. Please also pray that our missionaries will be energized to continue serving the Lord with courage and determination.  

Short-Term Teams | Staff Training

Many of the teams who took trips this summer have returned to the U.S. and are processing their experiences. Please pray for the team members to remember the ways God spoke to them while serving others and lift up the teams that are still preparing to serve this year.

This month, all WGM headquarters staff will be gathering for a two-day conference to connect and participate in training and team-building activities. Please pray that this conference will strengthen the staff and better prepare them to assist and advocate for the missionaries.

 Global Prayer Points for September

• Barb Thomas has been discipling the youth at her church in Texas and has been building a relationship with a Buddhist family there. Please ask God to give Barb wisdom and peace as she witnesses to the young people there. Ask the Lord to also provide healing and salvation to the Buddhist family she connected with and invite God to make Himself known to them.  
• While Osman and Leslie Echeverría have been on furlough, 168 children in the 4-H program in Ciudad Nueva, Honduras, have continued to receive lessons and activities every week because of local believers who have joined in on what God is doing. Pray for the local volunteers who make it possible for the Gospel to spread while missionaries are away and ask that He will energize and equip them in their service to others.
