Dan Schafer

Dr. Dan Schafer serves as President of World Gospel Mission, an organization committed to helping individuals find God’s best for their lives by connecting their passion to the heart of God. WGM specializes in facilitating the ministries of missionaries around the world so they can fulfill the call of God on their lives and be used by God to transform the world. Dan states, “I love serving with WGM because every single morning, I wake up with the opportunity to serve among individuals who have given their lives to something amazing, something that really matters, something with eternal value. They have given their lives to go and make disciples for Jesus. They are themselves Christlike disciples transforming the world. Dan also rejoices in having been married for 41 years to his youth group sweetheart, Pam (Mathias). He delightedly proclaims that every year, he and Pam grow deeper in love with each other. They have two children. Their son, Kevin, is married to Kandy, and they have three boys: Peyton, Zac, and Bennett. Their daughter, Julie, is married to Jonathan Crandall, and they have a girl, Esther, and two boys: Levi and Amos. 

Dan earned his undergraduate degree from Ohio Christian University in Christian Ministries, his MBA from Indiana Wesleyan University, and his Doctorate in Business Administration from Anderson University. Dan pastored for 12 years before serving the last 28 years in missions, both as a missionary and as a missions leader.
