Supervision: Director of Communications
Job Purpose & Summary: The Content Manager will coordinate WGM’s efforts to share stories of what God is doing around the world. This role oversees the discovery, development, and distribution of stories that inspire people to go, give, and pray as they join God’s work through WGM.
By coordinating content projects, collecting stories, and supporting video and media efforts, the Content Manager ensures that ministry impact is shared clearly and compellingly across digital, print, and social platforms. This position plays a vital part in helping others see and respond to God’s movement globally.

Main Responsibilities:

Story Development & Content Coordination
- Proactively identify, collect, and track stories from global workers, staff, and partners.
- Conduct story interviews and gather needed assets, information, and approvals.
- Develop content briefs, outlines, and background materials for writers, designers, and video producers.
- Ensure all content aligns with WGM’s voice, messaging, brand standards, and organizational values.
- Perform any other duties assigned by supervisor.

Video Project Coordination
- Coordinate logistics for video shoots including scheduling, communication with participants, pre-production planning, and asset collection.
- Prepare story angles, story interview questions, talking points, and production notes.
- Manage video projects from intake through approval and final delivery.
- Identify opportunities to repurpose video content into clips, reels, graphics, and written content.

Content Strategy & Calendar Management
- Build and maintain a comprehensive content calendar across all communication channels.
- Collaborate with Communications team members and other departments to ensure alignment with organizational priorities.
- Monitor performance metrics and recommend improvements to increase engagement and reach.

Project & Workflow Management
- Oversee content project intake, routing, timelines, updates, and delivery.
- Maintain organized documentation and ensure clear communication with stakeholders.
- Facilitate feedback and approval processes to ensure timely, high-quality output.
- Support team efficiency by identifying bottlenecks and maintaining project flow.

Writing & Editing Support
- Provide writing and editing as needed, including blogs, emails, magazine articles, captions, short scripts, introductions, headlines, and summaries.
- Edit team-generated content for clarity, tone, and accuracy.
- Provide writers and contributors with story outlines and gathered materials to support project development.
Special Requirements:
- Strong storytelling skills and experience identifying and developing compelling ministry narratives.
- Understanding of video production workflows and comfort coordinating creative teams.
- High level of organization and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple ongoing projects.
- Cultural sensitivity and the ability to represent diverse global ministry contexts appropriately.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Familiarity with project management tools and basic analytics.
- Occasional travel may be required for story collection or video support.
Qualifications:
- Experience in content strategy, project management, journalism, communications, or digital media.
- Understanding of nonprofit or ministry communications.
- Background or familiarity with video production processes.
- Experience writing or editing in a professional setting.
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
