Supervision: Director of Financial Services

Job Purpose & Summary: Complete the payment of bills, cash advances, and expense reports with accuracy, timeliness, and integrity. Complete government reporting and maintain fixed asset records. Assist in other areas as needed. Represent and promote the mission of World Gospel Mission by performing the duties with a Christlike attitude of service.

Employment Status: Full Time

FLSA Status: Nonexempt

Main Responsibilities:

1. Processing and payment of invoices and EFTs in a timely manner
2. Process Personal Gifts
3. Make journal entries for Deposits, Credit, Debit, and Petty Cash memos
4. Balance and maintain petty cash box
5. Keep recurring files updated and accurate
6. Process pop & candy monies monthly
7. Process various monthly/quarterly transfers
8. 1099 Processing
9. Assign Purchase Order numbers and get them approved for purchase
10. Process the American Express corporate card expense reports
11. Pay cash advances, Expense Reports, and recurring invoices and EFTs
12. Analyze the Transfer Account monthly
13. Reconcile various bank statements
14. Assist in managing and analyzing the General Ledger
15. Maintain fixed asset listing
16. File yearly FBAR
17. Back up Payroll Accountant

Special Requirements:

1. Ability to relate and understand missionaries, vendors and coworkers
2. Computer skills and experience with Excel needed
3. Good dependable work ethic
4. Good moral character
5. Able to work unsupervised
6. Ability to work as a team

Qualifications: A college degree is preferred, with knowledge in Accounting.
