Tools for Sharing the Gospel in Arizona

Thank you for praying with us! Your prayers are bringing evangelism training to Native communities in Arizona.

According to the Joshua Project, only about 2–5% of the Navajo people identify as evangelical Christians. While Christianity has a visible presence on the Navajo Nation, many communities still have limited access to Gospel-centered evangelism training and discipleship.

For several weeks, Steve Hughes has been pondering how to best equip local churches to share the Gospel with the unreached in their communities. Shortly before he planned to preach at a church on a Navajo reservation, he was awakened with a clear strategy for involving local churches in evangelism training specifically for Native communities.

He shared his strategy with the church, and more than half of the adults in the congregation signed up for the training! Pray that this new training will equip and uplift the communities Steve serves with, and invite the Lord to move in the lives of everyone it impacts.

Mid-Term Missions

Rejoice with us as four missionaries leave this month for their first mid-term missions experience. Pray for their souls to be strengthened in the Spirit and for them to be an example of His love to those around them. Invite the Lord to go before them and ask Him to prepare their hearts to be open to transformation.

Global Prayer Points for April

• As Tropical Cyclone Maila makes landfall in Papua New Guinea, please pray for the Lord’s protection and provision for those who will be affected, including Luz Maldonado and Karen Fernández, WGM global workers who serve there. Ask God to help those in the path of the storm to reach safety and to provide relief and aid in its wake.
• Ten pastors and local leaders from South American churches are enrolled in a WGM missionary’s apologetics class this semester! Pray that the Lord encourages and equips these students with the tools and education they need to effectively share the Gospel with their communities.
• The Paraguay team is growing in numbers and in unity. As the team continues expanding, ask God to grow them in vulnerability, refine team collaboration, and to help them stay ready for the Holy Spirit’s guidance as they serve Him.
