Students Being Discipled in Honduras

Your prayers are open the hearts of young people to the Gospel!

Link, a new mentoring program in Honduras, began with a small group of students crowded around a coffee table and has grown to six mentoring groups across the country! Steve and Kelly Solheim have watched this ministry expand as students craved deeper discipleship and made time to grow intimately closer to the Lord.

These discipleship groups are providing opportunities for students to be vulnerable, experience spiritual formation, and celebrate blessings from the Lord together.

Please pray that leaders will arise out of these small groups and be consistent in their walk with the Lord. Ask Him to send more leaders to disciple these students and pray for them to be blessed with wisdom.

Witnessing During Ramadan

Thank you for praying for our missionaries to have a chance to witness to during Ramadan! One of our missionaries in a creative access location had the opportunity to share his faith with a Muslim colleague after the Easter season.

In another creative access location, our global workers were provided with a public space for the first time in years to celebrate resurrection Sunday. A couple Bible stories were shared and those in attendance were very receptive to them.

Praise the Lord for providing these opportunities and the guidance of His Spirit so gently. Continue praying for global workers to be bold in sharing their faith and that the Gospel would be received with openness and softened hearts.

Global Prayer Points for May

• Earlier this year, the children moved into the Forever Home at the Baby Center in Kenya. Local missionaries have witnessed the children bonding well with the house parents and are already growing in their faith. Please pray for the children, staff, and families whose lives are touched by this ministry.
• The Least of These team, who serves orphans and vulnerable children in Kenya, recently started a Bible study with their college students. The team is hoping that they will read through the entire Bible together by the time the study is complete. Please pray for the students to grow spiritually and develop a close relationship with the Lord. Pray also for the global workers as they spend time preparing for and leading the Bible study.
• Starting in May, about 177 short-term team members and 30 mid-term missionaries will make their trips to the field for the summer. As they prepare for the field, pray for discernment and boldness. Please also lift up the team leaders, full-time missionaries, and the lives that will be touched through their service.
