Prayer Lifeline: October 2026
God is at work all around the world, and we hope that you’ll not only join us in prayer this month but will also be encouraged in your own walk with Christ this October. We’re so grateful for your heart for the world!
Missionary Focus | Erica Jenkins
Praise the Lord for the way He is working in Papua New Guinea. Although usually stationed in Thailand with her husband, Benji, Erica recently returned to Papua New Guinea for one week. The Christian Union Church (CUC) women’s camp meeting met there, and Erica had the privilege of serving as translator for the sermons. Praise God for the 200 women from all over Papua New Guinea who came to the meeting, eager to hear God’s word. Pray that they remain close to Jesus as they return home, especially those facing severe hardships or married to unbelievers, and that they do not return to old ways.
In addition to ministering to the women at the camp meeting, the ministry offered hope to men and women trapped in addiction, crime, and prostitution as the camp meeting took place at a CUC church in one of the poorest settlements. Pray that the faith sparked in this area will continue to spread through the community. Pray that the local Christians will remain faithful as they reach their neighbors and as they disciple new believers.
Mobilization Focus | Discover Experience
The fruit of WGM’s work in making disciples over decades is taking place specifically within young adults who are a part of the Discover program in Arizona. Led by the Hardaways, the group recently went on a camping trip to Northern Arizona’s Mogollon Rim, which gave everyone time to connect with God in a beautiful place while also teaching them to embrace discomfort. These young people are learning to listen to and appreciate the communities they serve and have been helping lead activities in reservation ministries. Please pray for them as they continue to discover how God has gifted them for ministry. Pray for Scott and Noel Hardaway as they mentor and encourage these participants to grow not only as missionaries but as followers of Christ
Prayer Points for October
- God is at work in the nations! Yet there is still work to be done. We’d love you to join us in WGM’s mission to awaken every nation to the heart and mission of Jesus. Please be in prayer for our missionaries and staff, that we will keep our eyes on Jesus as we learn to abide in Him, so that our service would not become empty activity but an embodied response of His holy love.
- Honduras is currently suffering from a severe draught. Pray for the millions of people affected by this for their physical health and that this will hardship will open doors for Gospel conversations. Pray for our missionaries who are there, the Echeverrías as well as the others, who are first-hand working with those in need.
