Prayer Lifeline: September 2026
We’re so grateful for your heart for the world! Thank you for lifting the needs in this issue of the Prayer Lifeline before the Lord.
Each request below represents an opportunity to intercede for people, ministries, and communities around the world. We invite you to pause, pray, and ask God to move in powerful ways.
Mobilizing Generations
Many short-term teams have traveled with WGM this summer. Over 150 individuals served on short-term teams across 7 countries!
One team that recently returned to the United States had members from many unique stages of life. The team included a 13-year-old on her first mission trip, an older couple, and a young woman who found the trip on WGM’s website. This team was unified by their purpose to serve the Lord internationally.
Please pray that the work these short-term teams did will have a lasting impact on those they served. Pray that team members will remember how the Lord moved on their trip and stay personally engaged with missions.
Connecting with Native American Tribes
Doors are opening for Steve Hughes to share the Gospel in creative ways with several Native American tribes in Arizona and New Mexico. He has been able to connect with several pastors from one tribe where less than 1% of people identify as Christian.
Pray that Steve will be able to develop stronger relationships with these pastors and that they will, together, find innovative ways to awaken these tribes to the heart and mission of Jesus.
Prayer Point for September
- The Discovery Program began in late August, bringing several young people interested in missions to the Southwest Ministries field. Pray that the team who has just arrived will adjust well to life on the mission field and rely on the Lord to guide and sustain them in this new season.
- Missionary candidates will come to headquarters in a few weeks to continue their interview process. Please be in prayer for each one of them to discern the details of their calling and for them to walk in obedience to Him. Invite the Lord to be present in every step of the interview, and that the candidates, families, and staff will be drawn closer to Him through this process.
