Least of These, Kenya

Jennifer Bennett and Becca Fielding with the Least of These (LOT) ministry have been actively working with a group of moms in an informal settlement in Kenya. All these mothers have children with special needs. A two-year-old came in recently, and he only weighed a little over 15 pounds. He was weak, malnourished, and had difficulty feeding and poor head/muscle control.

Jennifer, Becca, and their team have been working with him and his mother on aspects of safe feeding. LOT provided extra nutritional support, a safe feeding chair, and a speech consultant to work on feeding and swallowing. It has taken a team approach, and they are finally seeing improvement! He gained much needed weight this past month (the most in many months). He is swallowing better, and he is more alert, too.

New Missionary Report
2 New Long-term Missionaries!

Your prayers for more missionaries have been answered! Sometimes, when we pray the Luke 10:2 Challenge, asking God for more missionaries, it can feel as though nothing is happening.

But thanks to you—two new missionaries were recently appointed and spent a week at WGM, receiving training and resources they need to begin building their ministry partnership teams!

We’re so grateful for you and your prayers—they are truly sending more missionaries all over the world!

Country Focus
Morocco

Jesus invites us to ask the Father to send more missionaries around the world. In Luke 10:2, Jesus says, “’The harvest is great, but the workers are few. So pray to the Lord who is in charge of the harvest; ask him to send more workers into his fields.’”

Will you pray with us today over the country of Morocco? Can we count on you to pray that God will send workers to the country of Morocco?

Global Prayer Points for August

• Papua New Guinea has key openings right now for new missionaries. Would you pray that God would stir in the hearts of His people to fill these gaps? We know that the need in PNG for these missionaries is great, and we know God will answer when we ask. So join us today in asking Him to provide just the right people!
• Jamaica continues to recover from Hurricane Beryl last month. Continue to pray for our missionary, Deirdre Graham, as she works in her community—that she can be a source of light during these days.
• Later this month, WGM regional directors will be having their annual meetings in which they’ll be seeking God’s will for the WGM and its missionaries. Out of these meetings often comes many key initiatives for missionaries around the world. So, would you pray over these meetings taking place the week of August 12? Pray that God will guide and show our leaders the next steps that will expand His kingdom here on earth.
