Prayer Lifeline: January 2025
Missionary Focus
Chris Amberman and Krista Landaas, Farmington, New Mexico
Your prayers are giving young people a chance to hear and experience the Gospel in a new way. Some of those prayers are being answered at the Neighborhood Club, where WGM missionaries Chris Amberman and Krista Landaas lead and support students.
This year, four boys in the foster care system have started attending the Neighborhood Club. While all four boys have been outgoing in the past, they seemed reluctant to participate during the lesson and worship time.
Over the next few weeks, the boys began to learn the songs, ask questions during lesson time, and even pray aloud in the group. The oldest of the four once prayed for the group before snack time and thanked God for giving the boys a second chance at life.
Please pray that families will be drawn to the Neighborhood Club ministry and the work being done in the boys’ hearts will continue.
Over 60 Mobilized
WGM’s mobilization team will be sending out several volunteers this month. Seven teams will leave for short-term trips in January, making up over 60 people spreading the Gospel this month.
Many short-term volunteers later make a commitment to long-term missions work on the field. This month, WGM will interview several candidates of long-term mission work to determine if they’re ready for the field. Please pray for the candidates to have wisdom and transparency in conversations with HQ and pray for all short-term volunteers traveling to various locations.
Global Prayer Points for January

Luz Maldonado visited the Anuki village in Papua New Guinea in late November, and even after a year of not speaking the language, she was able to communicate with the people even better than before. Last month, the Anuki translation team began traveling to different villages in PNG to check if the translation of the Gospel of Mark needs to be adjusted. Please pray for wisdom and understanding of the Word and for safety during their travels.

Elmor Benedith and Damary Benedith Rodríguez are praising God for more opportunities for connection across the world. Damary was able to speak at some churches in Mexico, and now a few new churches in the States. Join them in praising God for more connections and pray that God will lead these churches to partner with them in prayer and finances.

Kirby and Whitney McMunn have been hosting a routine Bible study with a few high school students, but have been facing some challenges. Several of the students are from Catholic and atheist homes and have had trouble finding time for the Bible study. Would you pray that God would continue softening their hearts, even if they are unable to meet in-person?
