Missionary Focus | Darin and Laura Arnott, USA: Southwest Ministries

Your prayers are sending people to make a difference in Arizona! Darin and Laura Arnott have been blessed by hosting several short-term teams over the last few weeks. In March, one team came to help the Arnotts host a VBS over several days. They shared the Gospel using a “wordless book” and many people responded by inviting Jesus to be Lord of their life.

Another team served over Easter weekend and shared the Easter story in three villages. Many of the people on the teams were on their first short-term trip, yet God used them to share the Gospel with boldness and excitement.

This month, another team will be going to serve with the Arnotts in Arizona. Please pray for those attending the trip to share the Gospel with humility and be receptive to the Lord’s leading for them. Pray for the people they’ll be serving and ask that God will let the work being done by these teams continue long after the teams are gone.

Global Trips this Summer | Sixteen Teams

Last month, we began praying for the 16 teams that are preparing to take a short-term trip this summer. Please continue to pray for the volunteers taking these trips and for the people they will serve.

One of our teams is currently serving alongside Luli Mustafaj in Albania, where they will be serving the community at the Jeta Ministry Center. These teams will be made up of 187 individuals who are stepping forward in obedience to the Lord’s call.

These trips are often a time when God calls team members to missions in a long-term capacity. Pray that the Lord will prepare the hearts of the team members to be listening to how God wants them to be used in the future.

Global Prayer Points for June

• Your prayers are giving children the ability to read for the first time! Chrissy Greenwell has been tutoring several children at Hope Ministries in Mexico. One of the children who had been struggling to read for a while recently had a breakthrough and is progressing very quickly! Please pray for the families and staff at Hope Ministries to find Christ and stay focused on His will for them.
• God is moving in Albania through the requests of His people! Luis and Laura Artoni have observed the relationships flourishing between them and the children at the soccer school. Will you join us in prayer for the children that every interaction they have with Luis and Laura will open the door to spiritual conversations and discipleship?
• Please pray for our missionaries in creative access locations. One missionary couple will be traveling out of their country soon, meaning they must stop their ministry work until they can return in four months. Please lift up this missionary couple as they navigate leaving their ministry for several months and adapt to a different culture. Please pray that the people they serve will continue being a representative of Christ in their community and will walk in faithful obedience to the Lord even in the couple’s absence.
