You likely know of the persecution of believers in places like the Middle East or Eastern Asia. But it might surprise you to know of persecution in places like Colombia. It even surprised WGM missionary Alex Romero, who lives and ministers in that country.

While Alex recently participated in the 4th Lausanne Congress in South Korea, he connected with familiar faces and made new connections. He was also inspired to hear testimonies of how God is moving in places like India, China, and Iran.

However, one of the most shocking moments was seeing that Colombia is among the persecuted nations. This energized Alex to pray and move forward with more passion for the work of the Lord. God has been faithful, and with gratitude, Alex continues to move forward, knowing that God’s purpose for the ministry is firm.

We’re counting on your urgent prayers for Alex and his wife, Diana, as they live and minister in Colombia! Your prayers will sustain them and the church in Colombia who urgently need God’s kingdom to take root in their country!

Sending New Medical Missionaries

This month, WGM missionaries and staff will be taking part in the Global Medical Health Conference (GMHC). This is the largest gathering for students, professionals, and organizations like WGM who are passionate about missions and healthcare. It’s an amazing time of connecting with current and future missionaries about the work WGM is doing around the world.

But we need your prayers to cover this event! Your prayers have sustained many medical ministries all around the world, and the need for more medical missionaries is enormous. So we’re asking you to pray for more medical missionaries to be called during this month so that physical and spiritual healing can be brought throughout the world!

Global Prayer Points for November

• A major praise is coming out of Mexico! Chrissy Greenwell-Charles has been praying and asking the owner of two houses near her ministry if they could use one of his buildings. And he finally said yes! Chrissy and her team now have great visibility to everyone as they drop off and pick up their kids. New children show up for Taco Tuesday and on Thursdays for arts and crafts. Around eight new families have asked about and signed up for new English classes they’re going to begin this month. And they also have around 15 children receiving help with their schoolwork and another 15 to 20 on a waiting list! God is growing the ministry in Mexico by leaps and bounds. Each moment with the family is a time to pour God’s love into them. Join us in praising God for His provision in Mexico, and pray for more workers to join the team ministering to families at Hope Ministries!
• Will you pray for a new believer on the Texas/Mexico Border? Cesar, a soccer player to whom WGM missionary Jorge Vaca has been witnessing, is attending the Foundations Bible Study and is helping with the construction of new soccer goals. Can we count on you to pray for Cesar as he continues to grow in his faith, and to pray for Jorge as he walks with Cesar during this crucial time?
• A major part of being a missionary is connecting with ministry partners who provide the funding to make the work possible. Many missionaries are close to having the necessary funds to sustain their ministries. Will you pray that missionaries are blessed as the end of the year approaches? This is a crucial time of the year where many missionaries see the body of Christ be extra generous. And through your prayers, we believe God will show up and provide the needed funds for ministries all around the world.
