Prayer Lifeline: October 2025

Missionary Focus |  Kirby and Whitney McMunn, Czech Republic

Kirby and Whitney McMunn have been building a relationship with a local man, James, for over a year. Recently, he recognized that the people around him who love him the most are Christians. James wanted to be someone like that. While he had given his life to Christ in the past, He chose to do it again and recommit his life to serving Jesus!

Pray that more people in Kirby and Whitney’s community would recognize the goodness of Jesus Christ and make a decision to follow Him. Ask the Lord to bless and strengthen their family as they continue serving in their church and leading local Bible studies.

New Missionaries

We had a group of potential missionaries visit our headquarters office in September, and four of them accepted positions as full-time missionaries. Praise the Lord for provision and that these new missionaries are trusting God to guide their next steps.

Lift them and their families up in prayer, requesting peace and strength as they prepare to enter a new season of ministry. Pray against any anxiety that may lead to hesitation in following God’s plan for them.

Global Prayer Points for October
  • Last month, a group of missionary leaders on the Kenya field met for their semiannual meeting in Nairobi. Jon Steury reported that the Lord blessed their meeting. Please pray for the Kenya field to continue to be receptive to God’s leading for them, and that they would be able rest in His peace.
  • Several missionaries have arrived or are arriving to Paraguay recently. Claudia Bonilla is hoping to arrive there this month and will take on a leadership position soon after her arrival. Pray that she will boldly guide the Paraguay team to follow the Lord’s leading and ask Him to cover the missionaries there with peace and wisdom.
Luke 10:2 Challenge

Since 2017, the WGM family has paused daily at 10:02 a.m. to pray that God will send workers from around the world to mission fields around the world. This challenge was born from Luke 10:2 (NIV), which says, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into His harvest field.”

Today, on October 2nd (10/2), we invite you to join the challenge and pray for God to raise up new missionaries and to increase the fruit of those who are already serving.
