Missionary Focus | Brandon and Izumi Kuba, Japan

Your diligent prayers are being answered in Japan! Brandon and Izumi Kuba recently began an English language program for families in their neighborhood, a ministry they use to connect with their community. The children have become quickly involved, and the Kubas anticipate even more will join the program soon.

The Kubas also hosted an annual retreat at the seminary in Japan. At the retreat, several young people responded to the call to engage in full-time ministry.

Please pray for Brandon and Izumi as they minister to the community. Ask God that the people of Japan will be receptive to the Gospel and would find peace in Him.

Mobilization Update

Praise God for more workers for the harvest! Last month, WGM hosted several interviews for long-term missionary candidates, and six of them were accepted to become part of the WGM family!

Global Prayer Points for February
  • Would you lift up the WGM New City Center in prayer? Osman and Leslie are helping launch a program in Honduras, Work4aLiving, that trains young men and women in skills that will help them find and keep a job. Osman and Leslie have strengthened their relationships with several local pastors who are passionate about helping WGM’s New City Center, and they believe that potential students and employers will welcome the new program. Please pray that local leaders and pastors in Honduras will be committed to Work4aLiving and fully support the ministry.
  • Shawn and Bethany Waugh have seen some major work done in Papua New Guinea over the last month! A woman almost gave birth on campus, but the team was able to get her to hospital just in time. They have also been blessed by a volunteer who has been helping teach some classes at the Bible College. Please pray these blessings will continue and that the upcoming school year will come together smoothly.
  • This Christmas, the Taylor Community Center hosted a very joyful family night with gifts, activities, and a message from Kurt Zimmerman. Kurt shared the Gospel with 200 attendees, many of whom expressed gratitude for the community center. Please pray that God will stir the community’s hearts to pursue Him and that all the WGM global workers in McAllen, TX, would be sensitive to Christ’s leading in their lives.

Thank you for praying. Your prayers are making an impact for the kingdom of God.
