Honduras: New City Center

We believe that God is about to do great things in Ciudad Nueva, and we want you to join us on mission with Him! By partnering with the New City Center, you can make an everlasting impact on the lives of the future leaders of Ciudad Nueva, Choluteca, and Honduras.

The citizens of Ciudad Nueva face many social challenges. This area of southern Honduras doesn’t have a great reputation, but we know that this just means there’s a greater opportunity for God to be glorified there.

God chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things—and the things that are not—to nullify the things that are, so that no one may boast before him. 1 Corinthians 1:28–29 (NIV).

God has big plans for the New City Center:

• 4-H Club: Ciudad Nueva is home to over one thousand children who could benefit from a 4-H program. After-school activities will add a holistic element to a student’s formal education. We want the children of Ciudad Nueva to know what God has to say about their head, heart, hands, and health.
• Work4ALiving Program: A job is more than just a means of earning income. It’s an opportunity to glorify God in our daily lives. The Work4ALiving program trains men and women with the life skills to help them find and stay in a job. More importantly, though, W4AL Bible-based discipleship will reshape the way the people of Ciudad Nueva see themselves and their jobs.
• Trade School: We are working toward reopening our trade school. Our goal is to offer various trades, providing spiritual formation alongside practical training for work and life.
• Our Leadership and Discipleship Program: This program currently serves one of our local schools, offering tutoring to children who are falling behind in their schooling and are prompt to dropping out of school. It also integrates a structured discipleship program with weekly classes. Our vision is to see this model grow—expanding into another local school that is already opening its doors.

The New City Center is located in the heart of Ciudad Nueva, Choluteca, and provides discipleship opportunities for men, women, and children. We want to see better citizens, stronger families, churches devoted to holiness, and a greater Honduras, all for God’s glory. Your gift will provide the funds to keep the Center up and running for the people of Ciudad Nueva.
