Ministry Description
Professors are needed at Bolivian Evangelical University (BEU) to educate students in agricultural and livestock production, administration and production projects, ecology, environment, and related research.
About forty percent of Bolivia’s population is engaged in agriculture, so it is not surprising that the field of agricultural studies is one of the most popular programs at BEU, one designed to educate the next generation to provide for this fundamental need in the country.
With an emphasis on serving with a Christian spirit, studies are oriented towards sustainable production chains in business and community systems, including production, transformation and marketing of agricultural products, committed to innovative development in the agricultural and livestock production.
BEU was founded in 1980 by WGM missionary Meredythe Scheflen. It is the first private university in Bolivia and the first evangelical university in Spanish-speaking South America. The main ministry of BEU is to reach the youth of Bolivia for Christ through higher education and to influence Bolivia and other countries through its students and graduates. BEU strives to become a health research center in South America.
