Opportunity
WGM is partnering with Handong Global University (HGU) by sending and supporting faculty to this premier Christian University in Asia. HGU’s mission is to foster global leaders who change the world by providing a holistic education based on the Christian faith and pursuing academic excellence.
Qualifications
Faculty are required to live out a strong Christian testimony. A master’s degree is the minimum educational requirement.
Location
Handong Global University is located in Pohang, South Korea.
Training provided
Orientation to living in South Korea and the ministry will be provided by both WGM personnel in South Korea and the university.
Language Requirements
Teaching will be in English, but knowing Korean will enrich your time in Korea. HGU offers Korean language courses every vacation.
Length of service
- Mid-Term (1 – 12 months). It is possible to teach as an adjunct for 1 (16 week) term
- Long-Term (2 or more years)
Ministry Description
By joining the Handong Global University family, you will have the opportunity to disciple and mentor top-notch students from all over the world. You will be joining an established and tight-knit community of international faculty and their families. On-campus apartments are provided, as well as on-campus K–12 schooling for the children of faculty.
HGU offers both undergraduate and graduate programs in English and Korean. The school is currently increasing their international faculty and international student body. There is a strong emphasis on discipleship and missions. Faculty of all disciplines will be considered.
