Papua New Guinea: Disciple Maker
Opportunities
43 percent of Papua New Guineans may consider themselves Protestant Christians, but they often mix the truths of Christianity with their traditional beliefs and animistic customs. Many evils still hold their communities captive. Our Papua New Guinean brothers and sisters need to be discipled. They need help fully understanding the truth of the Gospel and how it applies to all aspects of their lives so they can stand strong and help bring change to their communities.

Ministry Description
Discipleship in PNG is not done in coffee shops or offices. It is done sitting on the floor in houses around a fire or on the floor in churches using flashlights to read by. In this role you will be working alongside the Christian Union Church (CUC) in helping raise up people to lead discipleship groups in their local churches. You will also be traveling around the country following a church planting team. After they have planted a church, you would go in and work with the new pastors to disciple them and teach them how to disciple their own congregations.
