Ministry Description
Kibimba District Mission Hospital is a 250+ bed facility serving a large rural population with limited access to healthcare. Due to poverty, distance, and health system gaps, many patients present late with advanced disease.
Family Medicine is critically needed to:
- Provide broad, continuous care across departments
- Reduce unnecessary referrals and strengthen local capacity
- Improve outpatient and inpatient systems
- Bridge gaps between limited specialty services
With few specialists available, the Family Physician becomes the backbone of the hospital—supporting quality, coordination, and patient-centered care. This role offers a unique opportunity to influence the health system clinically, educationally, and spiritually as the hospital grows toward becoming a teaching and referral center.
