Ministry Description
In 1922, Scottish missionaries founded a medical outpost in the central highlands of Kenya, just east of Mount Kenya. During the next eighty years, the outpost grew into two boarding schools and Chogoria Hospital, a reputable 300-bed facility. Each of the ministries was effective in spreading the gospel of Christ throughout the area. In 2004, Chogoria Hospital came under Kenyan management. While the hospital has continued to grow and provide effective medical care, the number of fully trained, missions-minded doctors is small. Currently, only one full-time, residency trained doctor works at Chogoria.
