Texas/Mexico Border Ministries: Photographer-Publicity Assistant

A photographer and computer savvy publicity assistant is needed to help communicate God’s work in McAllen, Texas.

If you know how to capture quality images, video-important moments, and create content for flyers, brochures, and web design, we have a place for you to serve the Lord in McAllen, Texas! God is doing amazing things among us. As a photographer-publicity assistant on the Texas/Mexico border, you can help tell God’s story all around the country. You will also help us connect locally, publicizing Taylor Community Center events within our own community to reach more people with the love and hope found in Jesus Christ.

Qualifications
  • Training in photography, videography, video editing, Canva, and web design.
  • A servant’s heart and willingness to collaborate.
Language Requirements

English is required, but Spanish will be helpful as many local children and families speak only Spanish.

Length of Service
  • Mid-term: one to twelve months
Ministry Description

As the photographer- publicity assistant, you would be available to take pictures at Texas/Mexico border ministries and events. You would compose and edit a much-needed field video and/or ministry specific videos for publicity in coordination with missionaries on the field. You would provide assistance/direction for maintaining the Taylor Community Center website and produce flyers/brochures to publicize ministry events. In addition to helping missionaries with these essential tasks and lightening their load, you would glorify God by helping share the news of what He is doing on the Texas/Mexico border!

  • Taylor Community Center (TCC) is in McAllen, Texas, located just eight miles north of Reynosa, Mexico.

  • McAllen is in what is known as the Rio Grande Valley of south Texas. The population is a diverse mixture of immigrants and native Texans with a unique cultural heritage of both Spanish and English speakers.
  • The ministry of World Gospel Mission in McAllen, beginning with the Taylor Christian School in 1948, has had a faithful testimony in the community for over 70 years.

TCC was established in 2005 to reach neighborhood families by demonstrating God’s love relationally, physically, and spiritually.
