Czech Republic: Youth Ministry
Opportunities
As in most of Europe, teens in the Czech Republic have a great deal of autonomy in their lives. They make a lot of choices that affect both now and the future. Through student outreaches, we can speak positively, and confidently as believers. There is often a big interest in Christianity and matters of faith. Middle and high school students are often eager to have somewhere to go and to have meaningful conversations and relationships. Currently game nights, and conversation clubs are big connection points, but primarily this ministry is established simply through living life with young people. This has led to many students joining in a Bible study! If you can be available to watch their football games, or attend their concerts, or simply meet up at a cafe for a chat, you might just be amazed at how God will use that to change lives and draw young people to Himself.
Ministry Description
While the Czech Republic has long had a reputation for being one of the most atheistic countries in Europe and even the world, there is a rapidly growing interest in the spiritual realm and a deeper meaning to life than what we can see and explain. As people young and old are beginning to consider these things, we are finding a big interest and willingness for relationship with Christians and reading the Bible together. As we walk together with new believers, discipling them, we believe God is raising up a Czech body of believers to reach their nation. This country at the heart of Europe has potential to be a bright light for the whole region.
