Ministry Description
The Out of Nazareth ministry is three-fold:
- Nazarene Narrative
- Promotes unity among believers across racial, cultural, and denominational lines.
- Activities include:
- Prayer walks throughout Philadelphia
- Classes on reconciliation and healing relationships
- Annual retreats for churches and individuals emphasizing unity
- Caring for the Least of These
- Ministering to incarcerated men and women to share Christ behind bars
- Serving homeless individuals by providing food, clothing, and sharing the gospel
- Miriam Medical Clinics
- A free primary care clinic offering a full range of medical services
Responsibilities
- Participate in prayer walks and reconciliation classes
- Assist with annual retreats focused on unity
- Engage in ministry to incarcerated individuals
- Serve homeless populations through practical aid and spiritual care
- Support the work of Miriam Medical Clinics as needed
Qualifications
- A heart for unity and reconciliation among diverse communities
- Compassion for marginalized individuals, including the incarcerated and homeless
- Willingness to serve in a cross-cultural urban environment
- Medical professionals or those with healthcare experience are especially needed for clinic work
